DDH1 Drilling management understands their "Duty of Care" obligations for the prevention of workplace accidents, injuries & illnesses and is committed to the safety of all employees, clients, contractors and visitors to our work areas.
In line with this commitment we will ensure compliance with proper work practices as determined by our safety management systems, which are integral to the company operational procedures.
The company HSE Management Plan is a structured process for achieving objectives and targets in the management of safety and health in each working environment and is based on AS 4801. It is also a tool in the implementation of the company HSE Management Systems.
DDH1 Drilling's management team understands that an effective Management System demands strong leadership, commitment and the involvement of all employees and stakeholders in the workforce to embrace a workplace culture which ensures that, "safe behaviour becomes the only way things are done."
Other factors that assist our effectiveness in providing a safe and healthy workplace include;
- The implementation of goal setting and feedback programs in cooperation with the workforce that is proactive and measures for the achievement of the desired culture
- The training of people at all levels of the organisational structure so they are equipped with sufficient and appropriate skills and knowledge.
All DDH1 employees enrol in National recognised qualifications on completion of their 3 month probation period. This training centres around the Certificates 2-4 and Diploma in Drilling from the Resources and Infrastructure Industry Training Package (RII09).
DDH1 Drilling exceeds or complies with all the legislative requirements as determined by contract locations. Also at the request of the client we are happy to participate in any site-specific safety improvement programs and comply with our client’s requirements in order to fulfil the contract obligations of the respective project.
